Fields is a body of work centered around time and the recording of action. The paintings were worked and reworked until they revealed themselves unlike other bodies of work were Lane develops sketches and references, these were born out of the process of push and pull, give and take. Each painting is unique in its number of layers and color choices yet there seems to be a certain unity among them.
